International & Transfer Student Apartments Near FSU
Our move-in-ready apartments come equipped with everything you need to settle in seamlessly. Our apartments boast single bedrooms with full-sized beds, privacy locks on each bedroom, and private bathrooms with garden tubs. We also include full-sized washers and dryers in each apartment, allowing you to do your laundry in the comfort of your own home.
We include Wi-Fi, cable, trash, all of the furniture in your apartment, access to our on-site amenities, and on-site maintenance in rent! The only utilities you need to budget for are water and electricity, which will be billed based on your usage monthly through our partner company, Simple Bills.
Because we lease on a first-come, first-served basis and availability is often limited, we can offer a Non-Enrollment Addendum. This means you can sign your lease now and secure your spot at our current rates. Then, if you don’t get into FSU, all you need to do is send us proof that you weren’t accepted, and you can get out of your lease! For more information, contact our leasing office.
If you do not have a guarantor or co-signer, you have several options! Students can apply with a guarantor as long as they are at least 25 years old, have a U.S. Social Security Number, and pass a credit and income check. If you do not have a qualifying guarantor, there are three other ways to qualify!
- Self-Qualify: If you have a U.S. Social Security Number, make 3x your monthly base monthly installments, and can pass a credit check, you may opt to self-qualify. All Self-Qualifying Applicants must provide proof of their income via three consecutive pay stubs and are required to pay a Security Deposit equal to two installments of the base monthly installments.
- Guarantor Waiver Program (GWP): If you are a full-time student and do not have a qualifying guarantor, you may opt to use our GWP. You will need to send proof of Full Time Enrollment and sign a Guarantor Waiver Program Addendum. GWP applicants must pay an additional monthly fee and a Security Deposit.
- International (I-20): If you are an International Student who does not have a qualifying guarantor, you may apply with your I-20. International Applicants are required to pay a Security Deposit equal to two installments of base rent and send proof of their I-20.
Note that all Security Deposits are refundable, pending your move-out inspection and any damages to your apartment.
While there is no set deadline, our availability and rates are available on a first-come, first-served basis. When you apply, you will be able to list your preferred roommates. Once you have been approved, to confirm who you will be living with, each resident will register for RoomSync, our Roommate Matching Program. From there, you can “sync up” on the app, which notifies our office that you want to live together.
At Saga Tallahassee, we lease individually, by the bed, so you can sign your individual housing contract and lock in your spot as soon as you’re ready, regardless of whether your roommates are ready. However, we cannot hold spots for preferred roommates forever since we lease on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend signing simultaneously if possible to ensure you and your friends live together.
We offer fully virtual leasing for your convenience, so you are not required to come in person! You’ll first hit the “Apply Now” button on our website to get started! From there, you’ll fill out all seven steps of your non-binding application and submit it (and pay any fees if applicable). Once your lease is generated, to officially secure your spot, you will initial and sign all the documents. Depending on your application type and how you’re qualifying, there may be additional steps required before screening and lease approval.
